This kit consists of 500mL Medium Without Serum and 10mL Attachment Factor (extracellular matrix reagent for coating flasks). 4Z3-500-S is certified and intended for experimental application. The media is phenol-red free with no added hormones or antibiotics for optimized experimental conditions. It is certified to be used with more than 100 human and animal cell cultures and cell lines. Chromogenic Cronobacter Isolation Agar (CCI) is recommended by ISO 22964 for the isolation and identification of Cronobacter spp. (formerly Enterobacter sakazakii), and is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.Although rarely causing infections in immunocompetent adults, members of the Cronobacter genus have been implicated in sepsis, meningitis and necrotizing enterocolitis with a high death rate in neonates. These opportunistic pathogens are common in the environment and their ability to survive desiccation presents a significant risk for post-pasteurization contamination and survival in spray dried milk products. Tryptic digest of casein and yeast extract provide a source of nitrogen and essential vitamins. Lympholyte-Mammal is a density separation medium specifically designed for the isolation of viable lymphocytes and monocytes from the peripheral blood of most mammalian species. It consists of Sodium Diatrizoate combined with Dextran to induce erythrocyte aggregation and reduce platelet aggregation resulting in a higher yield of lymphocytes and monocytes. Lympholyte-Mammal can be utilized with a simple protocol for the elimination of erythrocytes and dead cells from the blood of most mammalian species. Lympholyte-Mammal also removes the majority of granulocytes (including neutrophils). The resulting cell population demonstrates a high and non-selective recovery of viable lymphocytes and monocytes.
